Cancel your Braillito subscription or restore a purchase
Braillito is an App Store or Google Play subscription, so you cancel it in the store where you bought it. The app has a shortcut to your subscriptions there. If you already paid and the app doesn't recognize Premium, you restore the purchase from the app's plans screen.
How do I cancel my Braillito subscription?
- From the app: open the app's Settings tab (the person icon) and, under Premium, tap "Manage subscription". It takes you straight to your subscriptions in the store you paid through, where you cancel it.
- On iPhone: in Settings, tap your name › Subscriptions › Braillito, then tap "Cancel Subscription".
- On Android: open your subscriptions on Google Play with the Google account you subscribed with, choose Braillito and tap "Cancel subscription".
Deleting the app isn't enough: Google points out that uninstalling it doesn't cancel the subscription. If you're on the trial and don't want it to renew, Apple asks you to cancel at least 24 hours before it ends.
What happens to my access if I cancel?
You keep access until the end of the period you already paid for. After that, the subscription doesn't renew and you aren't charged again.
What do I do if I paid and the app doesn't recognize Premium?
On the plans screen, tap "Restore purchases". Use the same Apple or Google account you bought with: the purchase is restored from that store account. If it doesn't work, the app shows you one of these messages:
- "Your purchase hasn't finished syncing yet. Don't pay again — we're still activating it." The store has already charged you. Don't pay a second time: wait a moment and tap "Restore purchases" again.
- "Nothing to restore yet — the purchase is still waiting for approval." This happens when someone else has to approve the purchase, for example the family organizer. Once they approve it, tap "Restore purchases" again.
- "No previous purchases found." Check that you're using the same store account you paid with.
- "We couldn't reach the store. Check your connection and try again." The app never got an answer from the store: check your internet connection and try again.
How do I get a refund?
The store you bought from handles the billing.
- On iPhone: sign in to reportaproblem.apple.com, choose "I'd like to" › "Request a refund", the reason, and then Braillito. If Apple approves the request, the money goes back to your payment method.
- On Android: on play.google.com, click your profile picture › Payments & subscriptions › Budget & order history, and on the Braillito order click "Report a problem". If more than 48 hours have passed since the purchase, Google asks you to contact the developer: write to us at [email protected].
