Braillito notifications: how many, and how to turn them off

Braillito sends very few notifications: it only nudges you if you go a week without practicing. If you open it regularly, you won't get any.

When will I get a reminder?

When 7 days have passed since you last opened the app. Each time you open it, the count starts over. If you still don't come back, you may get another notification, but never more than one a week.

How do I turn them off?

In the Settings tab, under Notifications, switch off "Reminders". That turns off all of Braillito's notifications, including the ones that aren't reminders.

You can also turn them off on your phone:

  • On iPhone: Settings › Notifications › Braillito.
  • On Android: Settings › Apps › Braillito › Notifications (the names vary a little from phone to phone).

I'm getting too many notifications

Versions before 1.3.7 sent three reminders a day. Since 1.3.7, Braillito sends just one if you go a week without practicing. Update the app from the App Store or Google Play.

I want reminders, but they don't arrive

If you see "Notifications blocked — Open Settings" in the app's Settings tab, your phone is blocking Braillito's notifications. Tap it, allow them in your phone's settings, then switch on "Reminders" in the app.
